Who we are
Hi, I’m Madi, the voice and vision behind this space. I am 27 years old and an imperfect follower of Jesus Christ. I wanted to be intentional about growing my faith and developing a relationship with God. I decided to share my journey as I go in hopes that it will inspire you to grow, too. Wherever you are in your journey of faith, regardless of your past, every day we have the opportunity to connect with the creator of the universe and grow closer to Him.
Our hearts can be compared to a garden. We have the unique ability to guard, cultivate, and water what seeds we want to. Here’s to watering our seeds of faith - our faith the size of a mustard seed. Together. Growing organically - not forced, not hypocritically, not unnaturally fast, not processed, and without the use of spiritual “pesticides”. A garden that’s messy, dirty, flawed. A garden where weeds grow, and deer come in and trample. A garden where beautiful birds sing and other birds fly and eat the fruits. A garden where peace, joy, and love radiate. A garden we can take no credit for because our Master Gardener (the Lord) has gifted every growing elemement in it. From the soil to the sunlight, to the cells that utalize photosynthesis.
Psalm 1 is a huge inspiration to me
Blessed is the man[a]
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law[b] of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
for the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.”
